Radium Hot Springs Library was established February 15, 1994, located at the Radium Elementary School. The Library consisted of 1 wall of donated books from local residents. The Library quickly outgrew its space and May 6, 1995 it relocated to the Radium Seniors’ Hall. It was housed in a small corner room upstairs and a small room in the basement. It was operated for limited hours by a few volunteers. The Library has continued to grow. In 2006, it became British Columbia’s newest Public Library. At this time a Board of Directors was formed and a Librarian hired on a part-time basis. Still we grew! And a dream came true. June 22, 2008, the new Library was officially opened. The new premises are three times the size of the old space, thanks to the generosity of the Village of Radium Hot Springs, Instautor Group, the B.C. Government and many volunteers. The Library is located at #2 Radium Plaza on Main Street West.
