The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) presently provides police protection in Radium Hot Springs.  The Columbia Valley detachment maintains a satellite office located next to the Radium Hot Springs Tourist Informaiton Centre with a dedicated RCMP officer.  Our officer is committed to working with village residents, businesses, schools, and community organizations to address crime related issues.

The village participates in the Columbia Valley Emergency Management program under the administration of the Regional District of the East Kootenay to provide disaster services and an evacuation plan in the event of an emergency.

The village's Volunteer Fire Department strives to provide an effective response of properly equipped well-trained personnel to suppress fire.  The department currently consists of 17 volunteers.  Providing resources are available, the village endeavours to maintain rapid response by providing effective equipment as recommended by current standard practice.

Emergency first aid in Radium Hot Springs is provided by the Invermere detachment of the BC Ambulance Service.
