Whether you are a property owner, or a renter, if you own a dog, that dog must be licensed in Radium.
Tags are $10 for altered dogs and $40 if they are not altered (spayed/neutered). If you no longer have a dog, then please let the office know so that we may update our records.
Once issued, the tag is a permanent tag (ie. you will not receive a new tag each year), but you must renew the tag annually in January. Fees can be paid via cash, cheque, debit or by e-transfer (call the office for e-transfer instructions.
Also, please remember that in the Village, we have a bylaw that requires owners to pick up their dog’s feces when it is deposited on public or private property. Apart from the bylaw, this is simply responsible behaviour that is respectful of others.
If you are a dog owner who has not been following these rules, please start acting responsibly by picking up after your pet. Even if you are walking your dog in off-leash areas, such as the Sinclair Trail system, you must still pick up after your pet.
There are poop bags and garbage receptacles at the start of the trailhead. There are also bag dispensers located around the Village.
