Council is considering amendments to the Business Licence Bylaw No. 244, 2001, by amendment bylaw No. 539, 2026.
The amendments will provide for mobile vendors to operate in a public place, when operating at a festival or market, less than 72 hours in duration.
Further, the bylaw will amend the definition of “flea market” in the bylaw – in order to permit operation of such markets seven days a week, as opposed to only weekends and holidays, as is currently written in the 2001 bylaw.
The amendment bylaw will come before Council on June 22nd for consideration of adoption.
