Water use in Radium, on average, doubles during the summer months. Much of this increase is caused by needless water waste. As the Village of Radium Hot Springs grows, it is important to maintain water conservation standards and to remember that conservation does not mean doing without — it means using our resources wisely.
By using water wisely, you will waste less water and cause less stress on the Village’s treatment and distribution system.
Water conservation measures are in effect from June 1st until September 30th each year. Users are asked to restrict their water use to watering only on the days that correspond with their address.
- No watering of lawns and gardens is permitted between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on any day.*
- Odd numbered buildings/properties may water outside these hours on odd numbered days.
- Even numbered buildings/properties may water outside these hours on even numbered days.
*IMPORTANT: Watering during the heat of the day is ineffective, resulting in evaporation and waste of valuable water.
Your cooperation is greatly appreciated — help us protect a valuable resource and keep costs down!
