Radium Hot Springs Volunteer Fire Chief Trevor Carr has announced his resignation from his position. His last day as fire chief will be May 2, 2026.
The Village of Radium Hot Springs wishes to acknowledge the work of Fire Chief Trevor Carr, a member of the department since 2016 and chief since 2021.
“Chief Carr has led a department that has stepped up when needed and represented itself and the Village well on several occasions”, said Village of Radium Hot Springs Mayor Mike Gray. “Chief Carr is a big reason for that and Council is pleased with the work of his department. On behalf of the Village, I offer a genuine thank you.”
Chief Carr is moving on to pursue a promotion in his non-firefighting career.
Over his time in Radium Hot Springs Chief Carr led responses to several community emergencies, like hotel and sawmill fires and many medical first response calls.
He was motivated to pursue grant opportunities on behalf of the department, had a focus on improving wildland firefighting capacity, and oversaw replacement of large pumper truck, Engine 1204.
The Village wishes outgoing Chief Carr all the best!
An interim chief will be named soon and a full-time replacement will be found in the coming months.
