The fall months typically see increased bear activity in the area, as they start to fatten up for hibernation. The Village has received various reports of bears in town, and along the Sinclair Trail.
Please exercise caution and remain aware of your surroundings when walking or cycling in and around Radium. Stay alert!
Please keep pets leashed as unleashed animals can provoke defensive behaviour from bears.
Please keep your trash secured, and remove wildlife attractants.
Warning signage has been posted at the trailheads as a reminder to stay alert and practice safe wildlife awareness.
