Bear Activity
Posted On: August 19th, 2026

The Village would like to advise residents and visitors that black bears have recently been observed along the Sinclair Trail pathway.

The trail remains open; however, all users are encouraged to exercise caution and remain aware of their surroundings when walking or cycling in the area.  Please keep pets leashed, make noise while travelling, and give wildlife plenty of space if encountered.

Warning signage has been posted at the trailheads as a reminder to stay alert and practice safe wildlife awareness.

The Village appreciates your cooperation in helping keep both residents and wildlife safe.

We encourage you to report all bear sightings to the RAPP Line – 1-877-952-7277.
