The Village is currently under a Stage 2 Water Use Conservation – Twice a Week Watering.
What Does Stage 2 – Twice A Week Watering mean?
Lawns, trees, and landscaped areas
During Stage 2 the watering of lawns, trees, and landscaped areas is limited to two days a week using a handheld hose with an automatic shut-off nozzle, handheld canister, or use of a sprinkler, a drip irrigation system or underground irrigation system. Watering is allowed as follows:
- Even numbered addresses may water on Mondays and Thursdays between the hours of 6:00am to 10:00am and 8:00pm to 12:00am (midnight).
- Odd numbered addresses may water on Tuesdays and Fridays between the hours of 6:00am to 10:00am and 8:00pm to 12:00am (midnight).
Food Plants and Gardens
Watering of food plants and gardens is allowed more frequently with a handheld canister or a hose with an automatic shut-off nozzle. Watering is allowed as follows:
- Even numbered civic addresses may water on even numbered calendar days between the hours of 6:00am to 9:00am and 7:00pm to 10:00pm.
- Odd numbered civic addresses may water on odd numbered calendar days between the hours of 6:00am to 9:00am and 7:00pm to 10:00pm
- All other outdoor use of water is prohibited. Permission to fill a pool or hot tub must be requested from the Public Works Department via email at depw@radiumhotsprings.ca.
If new lawn seed or sod is being installed on your property, a permit is required to sprinkle more frequently (alternate days watering as outlined in Stage 1). Visit the Village office to complete this form.
