About Sinclair Canyon Trails
The Sinclair Canyon Trail System is an extensive network of trails that follows the lower portion of Sinclair Creek through a canyon setting. The trails are scenic, accessible to walkers, cyclists, and families, and are an off-leash dog area.
What’s Here
- A two-kilometre loop trail along the creek banks, relatively flat and accessible
- Two footbridges crossing Sinclair Creek at different points
- Interpretive kiosks highlighting points of interest, local ecology, and the history of the area
- Picnic tables and benches at scenic spots throughout the trail
- Connection to the Pump and Jump Track bike area below Rotary Park
- Important trout and kokanee salmon spawning habitat along the creek
- The 13-hole Sinclair Creek Disc Golf Course
Access
The Sinclair Canyon Trails can be reached three ways:
- From Rotary Park: take the gravel path extending down from the park to the trail area
- From Forsters Landing Road: use the path across from Revelstoke Avenue, marked by a Village kiosk and locked gate
- From the lower Sinclair Creek parking lot: head down Forsters Landing Road, take a sharp right just before Horsethief Creek Road onto the road skirting the Canfor mill log yard
