Watering Restrictions

Smart water habits help conserve our shared resource and reduce strain on the Village’s water treatment and distribution utility, especially during high-demand times like spring runoff, and saves capacity for drinking, emergencies, and other essential uses.

Stage 2 Water Restrictions Now in Effect
The Village of Radium Hot Springs is now back to Stage 2 Watering Restrictions.

Watering lawns, trees, and landscaped areas is limited to two days per week.  Even-numbered property addresses can water on Mondays and Thursdays; while odd-numbered property addresses may water on Tuesdays and Fridays.  Watering times are limited to 6-10 a.m. and 8 p.m.-Midnight on your assigned days.  All other outdoor water use is prohibited, including washing driveways or filling pools (unless a permit is obtained).

Food plants and gardens may be watered every other day.  Even numbered addresses may water on even numbered calendar days; Odd-numbered addresses water on odd-numbered calendar days.  Watering times are limited to 6-9 a.m. and 7-10 p.m.

To support water conservation and ensure reliable service through the year, the Village of Radium Hot Springs has water-use restrictions in place year-round. Restrictions follow a staged system, ranging from Stage 1 (year-round limits) to Stage 5 (severe drought conditions or during an emergency response). Details on what is and is not allowed for each stage are provided below.

Before you water, be sure to check the current stage and allowed activities.

Smart water habits help conserve our shared resource and reduce strain on the Village’s water treatment and distribution utility, especially during high-demand times like spring runoff, and saves capacity for drinking, emergencies, and other essential uses.

Water use in Radium Hot Springs typically doubles during the summer months, much of it used for lawns or other inessential uses.  As our community continues to grow, using water wisely is more important than ever.  Thank you for doing your part!
