CP Holiday Train

Since 1999, the CP Holiday Train has been using music and community spirit to raise money and food donations for Canadian food banks.

Since 1999, the CP Holiday Train has been using music and community spirit to raise money and generate healthy food donations for food banks in communities along Canadian Pacific Railway’s routes in in Canada and the United States.

Decked out in thousands of lights, the CP Holiday Train pulls to a stop in select communities along its network, and offers free performances by award-winning musicians on a travelling stage. Local food banks accept donations at each stop and the whole event lasts about 30 minutes, and includes a brief presentation with local food bank officials and dignitaries. Once the band plays its farewell song, the stage door closes, and the train heads off to the next community.

The CP Holiday Train visits Radium Hot Springs bi-annually.
