Dog Control

In accordance with Village bylaws, all dogs over the age of 4 months must be licensed in Radium.

In accordance with Village bylaws, all dogs over the age of 4 months must be licensed in Radium. Licences are required whether you are a property owner or a renter. Licence fees are due in January of each year.

Dog License Fee

  • Spayed or neutered dogs: $10
  • Dog that are not fixed: $40

If your dog is new to the Village, please complete the Animal Registration Form and submit it to the Village office either by fax, by email or in person. Please provide veterinary proof of alteration when applying for your licence. A licence will be issued upon payment of the fee.

Dog Control Officer

The Village contracts its Dog Control Officer through the Regional District of East Kootenay.

In accordance with the Dog Control and Licensing Bylaw No. 176,1997, owners are subject to fines if a dog is found at large and subsequently impounded by the Dog Control Officer.
