The Friends of the Radium Hot Springs Public Library is a non-profit organization of public-service minded volunteers, dedicated to promoting and supporting the public Library service in Radium Hot Springs. We began this journey in 2021 with our first Big Book Sale. Since our small beginnings we have grown to a membership of 17 wonderful volunteers.
Some things we do:
- Promote knowledge of and interest in the function, services and needs of the the Library
- Foster public support for the Library and its development
- Help raise funds to purchase equipment and materials not available through the regular Library budget
- Provide volunteer assistance at special programs and community events
We host two annual events:
- May Long Weekend Big Yard Sale in partnership with the Rotary Garden Committee and the Radium Fire Department. We accept donated items from the public for this event.
- Annual Big Book Sale in November. Throughout the year we accept donations of books and puzzles. Donations can be dropped off at the Library during normal Library hours.
We meet on the third Friday of the month (most months) at 11:30am in the Library.
New Volunteers are always welcome.
Applications can be picked up at the Library.
We are proud to partner with other local organizations and businesses to promote the benefits of living in Radium Hot Springs.
