Radium Hot Springs will be offering the FireSmart Rebate Program starting in 2025. To be eligible, homeowners must have a FireSmart Home assessment completed by the Radium Hot Springs Wildfire Mitigation Specialist. Costs can be reimbursed for 50% of the expenses incurred, up to a maximum amount that will be discussed in conjunction with your home assessment. The reimbursed activity must be identified on the home assessment and supporting documentation to be eligible. Activities must be done according to the priority set. For example, if activities are required in the immediate zone (0 to 1.5 metres) and activities are indicated in the Intermediate zone (1.5 metres to 10 metres). The immediate zone activities must be completed before the rebate pays for the intermediate zone activities.
