Radium Hot Springs will continue to offer the FireSmart Rebate Program starting in 2026. To be eligible, homeowners must have a FireSmart Home assessment completed by the Radium Hot Springs Wildfire Mitigation Specialist. Costs can be reimbursed for 50% of expenses incurred, up to a maximum of $ 5,000.00. Work completed prior to the Wildfire Mitigation Program FireSmart Home Assessment being completed isn’t eligible for the rebate
The reimbursed activity must be identified on the home assessment and supporting documentation to be eligible. Activities must be carried out according to the established priority identified on the worksheet and FireSmart Home Assessment. For example, if activities are required in the immediate zone (0 to 1.5 metres) and activities are indicated in the Intermediate zone (1.5 metres to 10 metres). The immediate zone activities must be completed before the rebate pays for the intermediate zone activities.
A FireSmart Home Assessment is required to be eligible for this program. It is a great way to get paid to do FireSmart work around your home and yard.
