Legends Field is a large greenspace located in the centre of the Village of Radium Hot Springs. The size of a neighbourhood block, Legends Field is bordered by St. Joseph’s Street, St. Mary’s Street and Park Drive East and West.
The park offers the following amenities:
- A large grassy field
- Main Park Playground
- Outdoor Fitness Gym
- Outdoor rink
- Splash Park
- Brent’s Shack (a rentable facility)
The greenspace is also adjacent to the Radium Hot Springs Centre.
Legends Field provides the community with an outdoor meeting place and a recreation area perfect for throwing a frisbee, kicking a soccer ball, or flying a kite. The field also provides a venue for summer events like the Adventure Radium children’s program.
The outdoor rink has pickleball nets as well as hockey and basketball nets. Users can also enjoy fire pits adjacent to the rink, and at the southern end of the field.
In 2021 a Splash Park was built, further adding to the outdoor fun.
In the winter, the outdoor rink is busy with skaters and pick-up hockey games. The Village also holds an annual family-oriented New Year’s Eve Celebration, which doubles as the Village’s birthday party.
Radium’s main park is a busy and exciting place to be!
